Serving El Paso and Far West Texas
EPMN was founded in El Paso and works with independent practices across the city, El Paso County, and West Texas. Our office is on George Dieter, and our board practices here.
City of El Paso
Practices across every part of the city, from the Westside medical corridor to the Far East growth areas.
El Paso County
The incorporated cities and communities outside the city limits, including the fast-growing East County corridor.
Fort Bliss
One of the largest installations in the Army. Practices serving military families and TRICARE beneficiaries have payor requirements that differ from standard commercial credentialing.
Far West Texas
The rural Texas counties east and southeast of El Paso, where independent practices and clinics have almost no local credentialing support.
Why credentialing in El Paso is its own problem
This market does not behave like the rest of Texas, and generic credentialing advice tends to assume it does.
The largest metro in West Texas, and the most isolated
El Paso sits closer to three other state capitals than to Austin. Health plans administer this market differently from Dallas or Houston, and credentialing guidance written for those cities does not transfer cleanly here.
A payor mix specific to this region
Heavy Texas Medicaid and CHIP enrollment, a large Medicare Advantage population, El Paso Health as a locally owned plan, and TRICARE volume from Fort Bliss. Knowing which agreements actually matter here is most of the work.
Independent practice under pressure
As health systems consolidate, the administrative burden that pushes physicians toward employment falls hardest on solo and small-group practices. That burden is the specific thing EPMN exists to absorb.
Local people, not a call center in another state
EPMN was founded here and is governed by El Paso physicians. When a payor issue needs escalating, it is handled by people who know this market and these plans.
